RAW MATERIALS DATA

Raw Materials Data contains more than 22,000 entities (mines, smelters, refineries, projects, companies,countries, industry associations and government agencies), a wealth of mine details (type (open pit, underground etc), metal grades, capacity, ore production, reserves, resources, present and past metal production, cash costs for gold mines and more &), and covers 30 commodities. Country and mine data can be displayed quickly on exportable maps, and tables can be exported to spreadsheets. Data can be exported to Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well.

The database contains unique information on ownership and control, providing an excellent picture of the industry structure and evolution of the industry for each metal. As a natural extension to our information on ownership and control, we have compiled M&A details from 1994 to present. We also have a "What if?" function that allows users to model company mergers and show their impact on production and industry structure and ownership. Our gold cost curve product "Raw Materials Gold" is updated with the most recent quarterly cost and production information and covers 75% of Western World gold production.

Raw Materials Data is available by subscription only, it is updated monthly and is distributed over Internet.

  • annual production figures mine by mine for all metals/minerals going back to 1975;

Company and mine-specific data:
  • see selected mines, mine projects and refineries on a map: each producer will be marked with circles proportional to production;

  • click on a mine, project or refinery to see all information about it;

  • a wealth of details for some 3 500 mines and mine projects: ore reserves and resources and production, metal grades, project costs and much more;

 
 
 
  • extensive ownership trees: move up or down the ownership tree with ease, examining data for any company/mine shown, see how ownership has changed during the years;

  • industry structure: total production controlled by a mining company through its subsidiaries and joint ventures, see the individual controlled mines/refineries and how much they contribute to the company total;

  • company rankings metal by metal - and for the mining industry as a whole - with their share of world production;

  • company contact information: e-mail and website links are live - just double click to view the website of the selected company;

  • annual company financial data: revenues, assets and net profits for the last 5 years.
  • quarterly cash cost and total cost data for gold mines, cash and total cost curves which can be composed and displayed in a variety of ways

Software features:

  • powerful sorting and filtering features (by metal/mineral, mine type, stage of operation, country, size of production, etc);
